Endless Resources Available Through OhioLINK and SearchOhio
While the Franklin University Nationwide Library strives to have a broad and diverse collection, there may be times when we don’t have what you are looking for. Don’t fret, there are some wonderful resources available to students, faculty, and staff that can often meet their research needs.
OhioLINK is a consortium comprised of 121 institution throughout the state that gives members of the Franklin community access to 50 million library items. As long as an item has the status of “Available,” you can request the item to be delivered to Franklin from these institutions, and it’s simple to do. To request an item, click on the green “Request” button to start the process.
Sometimes, you might just want some leisurely reading material or a DVD to watch when you need a break. Unfortunately, we do not have a large collection of popular materials. We recommend using SearchOhio. This is another statewide consortium comprised of public libraries that gives patrons access to an additional 10 million popular books, DVDs and CDs. As with OhioLINK, you can request materials to be delivered to Franklin and pick them up at the university library. With the closing of the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s main branch, this is a free and convenient resource to use.
