Erin is a Certified Financial Planner residing in Columbus, Ohio. She is founder and president of Mentel Financial Services, LLC, an adjunct professor at Franklin University, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Central Ohio Financial Planning Association. She assists individuals, families, and small businesses with comprehensive wealth management by developing and managing strategies that balance the need for flexibility, growth, and protection. She believes strongly in financial education and has developed many pro bono initiatives, including the annual Central Ohio Financial Planning Day.
She completed her Master’s Degree in Family Financial Management at The Ohio State University and spent time building her career at The Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington D.C., Nationwide Financial, and Wachovia Securities before establishing an independent practice. Erin’s research has been published in various journals and she appears as a guest speaker on a variety of financial planning topics including retirement planning, insurance planning and benefits, investment planning and education funding.
