  1. Facts about Human Resource Management

    The Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) prepares graduates for overseeing complex employee benefit plans, understanding changing labor laws, and becoming “strategic partners” to CEOs – providing an opportunity to advance your career and your organization’s mission.

    Below are some useful facts about the program for Graduate Students to consider:

    • Classes can be taken out of order with these three exceptions: HRM 701 must be taken first, HRM 710 must be taken last, and you must complete HRM 701 – 705 before you can take HRM 708.

    • The program can be completed in as few as 16 months; however, students are permitted five years from their first course to complete the program.

    • There are a total of ten courses required to complete the program.
    • All classes are six weeks long, taking one course at a time.

    • 3-5 years of managerial experience is recommended.

    • This program has met the requirements for and been professionally accredited through SHRM. Students are welcome to join the Franklin student chapter of SHRM.

    • Books average about $150-200 per course, and students can anticipate studying 12-16 hours at least per week above their course time.
